Dykstra corn, 2012

The corn is ready for harvest. This is the first crop managed by my mom and we sisters. This week marked one year since my father's death. We are grateful for his guidance over the years, preparing us for all we had to do this past year.

I'm really glad for you and the sibs and mom, that you are keeping the farm going in your family name. I remember your dad's mishap sadly from last year.

That ear of corn is a beautiful specimen! I grew up in Iowa (many years ago) and I know a good ear of corn when I see one. congratulations!!
